There is an old phrase, we all have often heard, “necessity is the mother of all inventions”. However, our necessities shouldn’t be the only reason for innovations. In recent history, we have been fortunate to experience a boom in inventions, especially in computers and information technology. These inventions have assisted us humans towards smoother living, as well as boosted our professional productivity. Unfortunately, there is still a certain resistance, hesitancy or unwillingness to adopting the innovations and technology sufficiently in practice. It’s an usual mindset, especially in our part of the world, where we prefer to go with conventional or tried and tested methods when it concerns our businesses or trades.

Here, as analysts and advisors, we always recommend exploring innovations and technologies beyond our necessities, and suggest identifying and adopting the right technology, at the correct time. This can be a key to faster growth and greater success.

The business community around the globe has often faced challenges in the form of recessions, decline in growth or natural calamities. In such times, cost cutting has been the only effective way out. However, instead of searching for better output solutions through accurate technologies, we have preferred to implement the conventional methods like reducing production, manpower or their remuneration.

Unfortunately, the world is going through the biggest pandemic ever faced in the last hundred years. The entire humankind is suffering and our economy too has been badly affected due to this. During the initial days of the pandemic, when everything was shut down, our personal and financial lives were choked and had no options to function. Coincidentally, for the very first time in our lives, we had no-way-out available among our tried and tested options to tackle the situation.

Thankfully, then came technology as a savior and with no other alternative around, many adopted it happily. Luckily, technology has helped us function almost very close to the usual and in many cases, better than usual. Whether it’s a financial institution, health care, industries, service sector, BPOs, education sector or entertainment world. Most of us were experiencing online doctor consultation or classes for the first time. Board meetings, conferences or even business conclaves, everything was online. Although, for few of us, business was either usual, or even better, during this scenario. However, we never know; it might not be so easy or effortless tomorrow in some other unimagined adverse situation. So, we need to be aware, prepared and upgraded.

Technology started playing a vital role in our day-to-day functioning of business, as well as in our domestic lives. Shopping, ordering groceries, buying travel tickets, generating boarding passes, paying utility bills; all this online and eventually this has turned out to be a regular practice for us now.

Similarly, as we gradually get familiar and compatible with the use of technology in our professional lives, it has been recognized that use of technology is not only convenient but also economically viable. Even well-to-do corporates have closed down their established physical workspaces and opted for the “work from home” concept to cut down their recurring and infrastructural costs. Further, it has become possible to hire a low-cost workforce like home-maker educated women for part-time or full-time jobs.

The idea that the use of technology can guarantee high earnings and growth in normal situations as well as in any adverse situation has finally been established now. This can ensure long sustainability due to low-recurring costs comparatively. Although we have been forced by an unforeseen, unfortunate situation to accept the role of technology so hugely in our business and trades, its benefits and convenience has changed the entire scenario post pandemic. Therefore, now people are rushing towards adopting the best technologies for their business houses or institutions.

We, as a 360* agency, have always recommended the use of technology to our partners and associates much before this pandemic. And today, in this rush and chaos, we completely understand that our role is more crucial in guiding our partners and clients. Be it a startup or a well established corporate house, it is imperative to recognize and enroll in the technology that best fits their needs and also ensures them a successful business future. It’s advisable to understand and align to the future needs.

As said earlier, technology is going to be the key for greater success, today and tomorrow.
