The Immune System – Our first line of defense in case of any VIRUS attack.
As the world reels under the massive pandemic called Corona Virus, AwareRaheo would like to go back to our earlier published article titled ‘Our Immune System – Do you know how does it work?’.
It goes without saying that a good immune system is your first defense against any virus. Just like for any Country, when your defense mechanism is strong, then it becomes very difficult for external forces to attack and overtake the system. .
Coronaviruses are a type of virus. A newly identified type has caused a recent outbreak of respiratory illness now called COVID-19 that started in China. This has infected humans for the first time and all of us in the community have no immunity for this infection.
We have a lot of information around us about Coronavirus, however we need to empower ourselves with the factual information which would make us aware.
As per the recent information COVID-19 indicates that this is contagious and efficient and is passed from person to person in a short time. This is leading to community spread. Community spread means people have been infected with the virus in a particular area, including some people who are not sure how or where they became infected.

Our immune system acts as the first barrier against any kind of virus and for those who are not infected, building up that immune system is more important than using masks, hand-sanitizers or shutting oneself indoors.
Germs are everywhere and there is not much we can do to avoid coming in contact with them. It’s not just the doors or handles on public transport or the railings by the railway and bus depots, or even the hands of your fruit seller; germs are also found on the surface of your mobile phone, your handbags and even the newspapers you buy to know the latest on the coronavirus. So, it is humanly impossible to stay away from germs under normal conditions.
The best and effective way is to build up your first line of defense, your immune system and this can be done by starting with a Healthy Lifestyle from today.
Stay clean
Keep your body and your surroundings clean. Ensure that you wash your hands with soap and water as often as possible, especially before eating and after coming back home from outside. Clean and dust your homes to avoid germs. Throw our stale food and beverages to avoid germ buildup. Ensure that you wash and clean your fruits and vegetables thoroughly before using or eating them.
Use protection
While travelling, make sure you keep distance from people (if possible) and use a hand sanitizer after your shake hands with people. Try and avoid shaking hands and opt instead for the traditional Namaste. Cover your nose and mouth while sneezing or coughing with a tissue or napkin and discard the tissue after use.
